Four Tips for Hiring a Successful Inside Sales Agent

If you want to be successful in real estate, you need the right people on your team. It's important to hire someone who is trustworthy and who will represent your company well. Follow these five steps when hiring an inside sales associate for your company.

1. Use a proven process like interviewing qualified candidates with at least 1-2 years of experience in the industry, giving them a test call with relevant questions about our products or services, and finally conducting reference checks for their previous employers.

2. Make sure they are personable and professional by not using jargon (i.e., "I'm just calling because I wanted to see how things are going") or being overly aggressive when marketing our product/service, over email, or phone calls.

3. Ensure that their pay structure is simple enough to understand.

4. Measure and monitor their daily activities and performance through weekly reports and monthly meetings to discuss:

a) what's working well

b) what needs improvement

c) how we can make changes as a team for improved results.

It is important to remember that the inside sales associate is in charge of selling your product or service in a different way than a customer service representative. They are responsible for generating new revenue and growing your pipeline. When interviewing qualified candidates, it's necessary to be confident about what you want from them before asking questions so they can sell themselves as well!
